Alpha wovfes are the dominant pack leaders.The alpha male and female are the decision-makers.Tey are also the first to deal with outside threats of the pack,and are the controllers of the social structure within the pack. Puppies from and maintain  their own hierarchy within the pack for the first year or two and positions are found early.In the Sawthooth Pack's first group of pups,Kamots personality left no doubt as to who was the leader.In his position of alpha male,Kamots usually initiates the howl.
